Unique for 8 reasons

  1. The Variety
The variety known as "Tocai" has been historically present in the Garda area for a long time. There are very few sparkling wines made from this variety and this is the only one made on Lake Garda.
  2. History of the plants
There are 620 plants dated 1944 for a unique production of great prestige. The production is therefore cannot be increased but is already determined.
  3. Location
We are located on Belvedere hill in Pozzolengo. The vineyard is an open-air window on Lake Garda and the peninsula of Sirmione. A distinct and unrepeatable context with an extraordinary microclimate.
  4. Classic Method
Sparkling wine with refermentation in the bottle for 24 months. Our Millesimato, for an even more exclusive prestige to seal the best Italian sparkling wine tradition.
  5. Ottone Tinti
A man of one piece, one of those special men of the 1800s, all work and family. Daniele's progenitor, of few words but long views.
Hottone is dedicated to him, a constant inspiration for the work of the Malavasi winery.
  6. Aging
It takes place in a lake owned by the company in Magnacavallo (Mn), formerly the ancient course of the Po river. On an 8-meter deep lake the bottles rest at a temperature ranging between 10 and 15°C.
  7. Natural batonnage
Bottles spend 17 months near the bottom of the river, cradled by a slight wave motion created by the underground water table which activates a sort of natural batonnage.
  8. Strictly numbered selection
    Each bottle is strictly numbered.
There are 1151 bottles of 0.75 lt and 755 magnums. The sale is reserved to the customers who are members of the Wine Club as well as to prestigious wine shops, 5 star hotels and starred Michelin Restaurants.
